ISTANBUL, Nov. 23 – Ukraine is holding consultations with Turkey on technical issues regarding the passage through the Bosporus Strait by gas tankers to the country's future LNG terminal, Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey Serhiy Korsunsky said in Istanbul on Tuesday at a presentation of the Ukrainian projects.
"The Bosporus Strait is open to us under an international convention. However, the strait is overloaded, and one cannot confirm that a tanker will pass through the strait every Friday, for example. There has been a case of vessels waiting for a month for a storm in the Black Sea to die," he said.
