KIEV, Nov. 16 – The Ukrainian Environment and Natural Resources Ministry is planning to complete a program to remove obsolete pesticides and herbicides from the country by the start of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship (by June 2012).

Environment and Natural Resources Minister Mykola Zlochevsky told reporters in Kiev on Wednesday that the state would allocate UAH 220 million for this purpose next year. In addition, UAH 115 million will be allocated for the disposal of hexachlorobenzene waste.
