KIEV, Nov. 11 – The European Commission sees no grounds for the introduction by Ukraine of duties on fuel imports from European countries, according to Ulrike Hauer, the head of the Trade and Economic Section at the European Union's Delegation to Ukraine.
"The EU sees no grounds for the introduction of fuel duties in Ukraine because European oil refineries are not subsidized when buying oil, and they are in the same situation as Ukrainian refineries, therefore there are no grounds to speak about European suppliers' dumping on the Ukrainian fuel market," she said at the third international Petroleum Ukraine 2011 conference in Kiev.
