KIEV, Nov. 7 - Naftogaz Ukrayiny extracted 106,000 barrels of crude oil in Egypt in July-September, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry reported.
"Since April 18 [2010], Naftogaz Ukrayiny has been extracting oil at the Alam El Shawish East concession [in western Egypt]. As of September 30, 2011, the company had extracted over 560,000 barrels of crude oil," reads the report.
The ministry said that the state holding has completed drilling 23 wells and explored six oil fields. At present, the holding continues drilling and the exploration of wells under the program approved. The exploration phase will continue until December 13, 2011.
In addition, Naftogaz is studying the development of new fields in the United Arab Emirates, the document says.
