KIEV, Nov. 4 – The cabinet has permitted Karpatnaftokhim (Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk region) to import 395,000 tons of distillates in 2012 under a scheme to use them as a raw material to produce ethylene.

According to cabinet resolution No. 1128 of November 2, 2011, Karpatnaftokhim can import 225,000 tons of light distillates and 170,000 tons of heavy distillates.

As reported, in 2011 the government also permitted Karpatnaftokhim to import 395,000 tons of distillates under the beneficial scheme.
