KIEV, Oct. 31 – Ukrainian households' debts for housing and utilities services dropped by 2.3% in September year-over-year, to UAH 9.879 billion, the State Statistics Service reported.
According to the source, all the regions saw the housing and utilities debts declining. The average period of the debts for the services was three-and-a-half months.
From January through September 2011, Ukrainians paid UAH 26.8 billion for housing and utilities, which was 105.2% of the payments charged for that period. The highest rate of payments for housing and utilities was registered in Zakarpattia, Lviv, Sumy, Kirovohrad and Kiev regions (114.4-110.3%), and lowest in Crimea, Sevastopol and the city of Kiev (98.6-99.7%).
