KIEV, Oct. 28 – The government and the National Bank of Ukraine have fulfilled virtually all the goals of the memorandum with the International Monetary Fund, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine John Tefft in Kiev on Friday.

"We are currently fulfilling the most important and most difficult item, which is the deficit of the consolidated budget coupled with the deficit of [national gas company] Naftogaz Ukrainy," the premier said.
