KIEV, Oct. 25 – Kiev's Court of Appeals is likely to start considering an appeal by former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko against the verdict of Pechersky District Court within a period of from one to three months from the date of the receipt of the documents, Tymoshenko's defense lawyer Serhiy Vlasenko told journalists in Kiev on Tuesday.
"In compliance with the requirements of the Code of Criminal Procedure, Pechersky District Court is obliged to send [Tymoshenko's] appeal to all the participants so that they can make their comments. After that, within seven days the case should be transferred to the Court of Appeal of Kiev, and then the date for hearing of an appeal is being set, which should be no earlier than in a month and no later than within three months. Accordingly, the case will be scheduled for consideration in around a month-and-a-half," the lawyer said.
