KIEV, Oct. 21 – Metinvest Group intends to commission blast furnace No.3 at Yenakiyeve Steelworks (Donetsk region) in early November.

Production capacity of the blast furnace will make 1.2 million tons a year.

After it is put into operation, blast furnace No.4 will be decommissioned.

The volume of investments in the construction of blast furnace No.3 is USD 220.9 million.

According to the spokesman, a unique technology was used during the creation of the furnace: a complex of various types of refractory bricks was used, which allows extending its service life without repairs to 15 years.
