KIEV, Oct. 21 - About three-quarters of Ukrainians would like the current natural gas agreements with Russia, signed in 2009, to be revised, an opinion poll suggests.
Opinion studies company Research Branding Group said 76% of respondents in a recent poll were in favor of revising the deals, and that only 9% believed they should be left unchanged.
Moreover, 42% of those questioned argued that Yulia Tymoshenko, who was prime minister at the time the agreements were signed and who negotiated them, would have been able to secure better terms for Ukraine, while 31% expressed the opposite view.
