MOSCOW, Oct. 12 – Russia's Gazprom has yet to confirm a request by Ukraine's Naftogaz to reduce gas supplies to 27 billion cubic meters in 2012, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Minister Yuriy Boyko told reporters.
Consultations on the issue are on going, Boyko said.
"Consultations are on going. Gazprom meets reasonable demands, I think we'll reach an understanding," he said.
Ukrainian officials have said one of the country's energy policy priorities is to reduce natural gas consumption while increasing the country's own production.
