KIEV, Oct. 11 – Climate change in the south of Ukraine within the next few years could permit the cultivation of subtropical crops in Odessa region, Volodymyr Nemertsalov, a botany professor at I. Mechnikov Odessa National University, said at the 13th Congress of the Ukrainian Botanic Community in Lviv.
A member of the National Academy of Sciences, Yaroslav Didukh, analyzed at the congress the warming tendency, and the influence of such changes on the Ukrainian flora.
