KIEV, Sept. 29 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny and Germany's RWE Dea AG have signed a memorandum of cooperation to study the territory of mutual interest on the Ukrainian Black Sea shelf and increase hydrocarbon extraction in Ukraine, Naftogaz reported.

The document was signed during a visit of a Naftogaz and Chornomornaftoga delegation to Hamburg.

Chornomornaftogaz Chairman Valeriy Yasiuk said in June that Chornomornaftogaz (Simferopol, Crimea) and RWE energy concern are studying the submission of a joint bid to obtain a license for one of the fields on the Black Sea shelf.
