KIEV, Sept. 8 - Ukraine assured the European Union on Thursday that it is committed to continue integration with its energy sector as a reliable shipper of Russian natural gas even as tensions with Russia escalate.

Energy Minister Yuriy Boyko met western diplomats in Kiev Thursday to address the issue amid growing concerns in Brussels that the tensions may provoke another wave of gas supply disruptions.
