KIEV, Sept. 2 – Ukraine's Geology and Mineral Resources Service has renewed the special permit of Kashtan Petroleum Ltd., a joint venture between Ukrnafta and Shelton Petroleum, to operate the Leliakivske oil field after the company eliminated the reasons that led to the suspension of the license in October 2010.
The technical measures to resume production at the field started on August 30, Ukrnafta said in a press release. Before production was suspended in October 2010, the field produced 113.2 tons of oil and condensate and 26,750 cubic meters of gas daily.
