KIEV, Sept. 2 - President Viktor Yanukovych on Friday ordered the government to be ready by October 1 to liquidate Naftogaz Ukrayiny and to create three independent companies in its place.

The move is seen as a measure that would automatically cancel a controversial 10-year agreement between Naftogaz and Gazprom signed in January 2009 over Russian gas supplies.
