KIEV, Aug. 30 – The Ukraine-Japan Center, with the assistance of Kiev City State Administration and the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, will organize a charitable event titled "Sky Lanterns" in Kiev to thank Ukraine for the aid and commemoration of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Japanese Ambassador to Ukraine Tadashi Izawa said at a press conference that the Ukrainian leadership actively reacted to the natural disaster that hit Japan in the spring, and immediately provided Japan with humanitarian aid.
