Tymoshenko demands that Kiev court prosecute Ukraine’s president

KIEV, Aug. 26 – Pechersky District Court in Kiev has received a demand by former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko that criminal proceedings be launched against Ukraine's President and former Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych for signing the gas supply agreements with Russia in 2007.

"The Office of Pechersky District Court has received a statement today from Yulia Tymoshenko about the offense and the opening of a criminal case against Viktor Yanukovych and others," Tymoshenko lawyer Oleksandr Plakhotniuk told reporters on Friday.
