KIEV, Aug. 25 – The next visit of the International Monetary Fund's mission to Ukraine has been postponed until late October, whereas the Fund earlier scheduled it for August 29 through September 9, the IMF said in a statement posted on its Web site.
"The authorities [of Ukraine] reaffirmed their commitment to the objectives of the SBA program and the implementation of pending measures. The next Fund mission to Kiev is now scheduled for late October," David Lipton, Special Advisor to the Managing Director of the IMF, said following a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian government and the National Bank of Ukraine in Washington on Wednesday.
