KIEV, Aug. 12 - The transit of natural gas via Ukraine to Europe and the CIS in January-July 2011 increased by 13.9% year-on-year to 65.653 billion cubic meters, Ukrtransgaz said on Friday.
The transit of gas to Western Europe in the first seven months increased by 14.46%, to 63.85 bcm, while transit to CIS countries went down by 3.01%, to 1.802 bcm.
In addition, Ukrtransgaz ensured the transport of 30.837 bcm to consumers in Ukraine, which was 3.53% up year-on-year.
