KIEV, Aug. 3 – The Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry is planning to complete the introduction of online emission monitoring at industrial companies in 2011, Ecology and Natural Resources Minister Mykola Zlochevsky said at a briefing in Kiev on Wednesday.

He said that the 1,500 largest companies would be monitored.

"We'll be able to clearly monitor emissions by metal and chemical plants and emission limits will be issued in a different way next year, which will boost the revenues of the ecological fund by over five times," he said, adding that currently the ecological fund amounts to UAH 1.9-2 billion.
