KIEV, Aug. 1 - Petro Carbo Chem Mukachevo has put into operation a terminal in Zakarpattia for the receipt, storage, and shipment of liquefied hydrocarbon gases and petrochemical products.
The terminal will transfer liquid cargos from large-gauge railway tankers to European-standard tankers, and is able to handle up to 500,000 tons of such cargo per year.
A company statement says that one of the advantages of the complex is its convenient location - 30 kilometers from the border with Hungary, 40 km from the border with Slovakia, 80 km from the border with Poland, and 100 km from the border with Romania. A customs post is to be set up on the terminal's grounds to make the clearance of loads efficient and rapid.
