KIEV, Aug. 1 - The population's debt for housing and utilities services in June 2011 fell by 3.3% against May, to UAH 10.709 billion as of the beginning of July, the State Statistics Service reported.
According to the report, a fall in the debts could be seen in all of the Ukrainian regions. The average debt period is 3.2 months.
In January-June 2011 Ukrainians paid UAH 20.6 billion for housing and utilities, which is 102.8% of the amount that was to be paid. The highest levels of payment for housing and utilities services were registered in Zakarpattia, Lviv, and Sumy regions (115.4%-111.6%), while the lowest levels of payment were in Crimea, Sevastopol city and Dnipropetrovsk region (94.7%-96.9%).
