KIEV, Aug. 1 – The Cabinet of Ministers has approved an agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Russia on cooperation in preventing emergencies and cleaning up any damage from them in villages and towns where elements of the Russian Black Sea Fleet are deployed in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian government adopted this resolution at its meeting on July 27, the Emergency Situations Ministry reported.

The implementation of this agreement will help organize information exchange about the threat of or emergence of such situations, carry out joint steps to cope with emergencies and minimize their consequences, and to implement preventative measures.
