BRUSSELS, July 25 – The European Commission has stated that the ongoing criminal investigations in Ukraine do not directly affect the negotiations on an association agreement, but may impede the ratification of this document at the final stage.
The European Commission has once again warned Kiev against the selective use of justice, and stressed the importance of ensuring maximum transparency in the investigation, prosecution and trial.
An Interfax-Ukraine journalist obtained such comments from the European Commission's representatives in connection with the discussion around the editorial in the Financial Times dubbed "Ukraine has its Yukos moments."
