KIEV, July 25 – The government's version of a draft law on the land market, law No. 9001-1, restricts the circle of persons who have ownership rights to farmland, which does not promote the development of the comprehensive market, Vladyslav Kysil, the head of the property practice department at KPD Consulting, told Interfax-Ukraine.
He said that despite the expansion of a list of persons who have the right to buy farmland, the right of companies would be restricted. Thus, real producers in the agrarian business are overlooked by land reform, while farmers who are not legally registered are not serious players on the market, he said.
