KIEV, July 21 – A complete ban on any kinds of medicinal advertising would limit Ukrainians' access to over-the-counter drugs by restricting information about their existence on the market, reads a press release of the European Business Association (EBA).

According to the release, during its meetings, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Public Health, which is planning to submit for consideration at second reading a bill on a ban on medicine advertising, stated that the increase of consumption of OTC drugs is connected with the fact that pharmacists increased financing for advertising by 40% in January-March 2011, year-over-year.
