KIEV, July 13 - The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) revised grain harvest forecast for Ukraine in the 2011/2012 marketing year (July 2011 through June 2012) downwards 3.4% to 42.4 million tons.
The move comes as Ukraine has been facing heavy rains over the past three weeks.
As the USDA said on Tuesday, the forecast was revised due to wheat whose gross yield is projected at 18 million tons, whereas the wheat harvest forecast issued in June stood at 19 million tons.
