KIEV, July 11 – President Viktor Yanukovych will visit Brussels on October 20 at the invitation of European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso to reach political agreements on the completion of talks on the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.

The presidential press service reported that Yanukovych and Barroso discussed this during a phone conversation on Monday.

The Ukrainian president said he was ready to continue an open and constructive dialogue to bring Ukraine and the EU closer together. He said he hoped that the sides would manage to finalize the text of the agreement after talks in July through September 2011.
