KIEV, July 11 - Naftogaz Ukrayiny, in the framework of modernizing the country's gas transportation system, will start reconstructing sections of the Urengoi-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline with its own funds, the company said on Monday.

"Bearing in mind the necessity to ensure a proper level of reliable operations on the Urengoi-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline, the company's management has decided to finance the start of the project 'Reconstruction of Line Structures on the Urengoi-Pomary-Uzhgorod' [first section in 2011] with its own funds," the company said in a statement.
