KIEV, July 6 – Inflation in Ukraine slowed to 0.4% in June compared to 0.8% in May 2011, 1.3% in April 2011 and 1.4% in March 2011, the State Statistics Service reported on Wednesday.
According to the service, inflation has been 5.9% since the beginning of this year.
In annual terms (against the same month of the previous year) inflation in June 2011 grew to 11.9%, up from 11% in May, 9.4% in April and 7.7% in March.
This quickening was associated with the deflation posted in April, May, and June of last year (0.3%, 0.6%, and 0.4%, respectively, and then 0.2% in July).
