KIEV, July 1 – The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) hopes to earn EUR 1.355 billion from the Euro 2012 European Football Championship, which is more than was earned from the previous tournament in Austria and Switzerland, according to Markiyan Lubkivsky, head of the Euro 2012 Local Organizing Committee in Ukraine.
He said that EUR 840 million of this amount would be received from the sale of broadcast rights, EUR 290 million from the sale of commercial rights, EUR 125 million from ticket sales, and EUR 100 million from the sale of corporate hospitality packages.
