KIEV, June 29 – President Viktor Yushchenko, Ukraine’s third president, and former Naftogaz Ukrayiny CEO Oleh Dubyna could be subpoenaed as witnesses in the abuse of office trial being conducted against former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko in connection with the 2009 gas deal she signed with Russia, said Liliya Frolova, the state prosecutor in the criminal case.

She said at a briefing in Kiev on Wednesday that the indictment issued by the prosecutor's office against Tymoshenko included a list of individuals who must be questioned during the trial.
