KIEV, June 25 – Ukraine's government has proposed to shorten the list of the companies that cannot be privatized, and tabled a corresponding bill (No. 8723) in Parliament.
"The bill suggests lifting limitations on the privatization of the companies subordinated to the State Space Agency of Ukraine, aircraft and railway equipment manufacturers, the companies that were transferred to State JSC Khlib Ukrayiny's charter capital and are not involved in storage of grain from the state reserve, as well as some port infrastructure facilities, wineries and distilleries, salt mines, and state certification facilities," reads an explanatory note to the bill.
As previously, the government's new list of joint-stock companies whose state stakes are not subject to privatization does not include Ukreximbank, while Oschadbank is included.
