KIEV, June 22 – Ukraine needs confirmation of its chances for membership in the European Union, President Viktor Yanukovych said.
At a meeting with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski in Kiev on Wednesday, Yanukovych stressed that the key issues on the agenda of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU is the liberalization of visa regime, creation of free trade area and signing of the Association Agreement.
"One of the most important conditions for us is a confirmation by the EU of the prospects of Ukraine's accession to the EU," Yanukovych said.
