KIEV, June 22 - The sum of donor funds to finance Chernobyl projects has grown to some EUR 700 million.
"We have almost EUR 700 million. Let's remind that the procedure is the following: first a country declares a desire to contribute funds, and then under a schedule it sends donations every year," State Agency for the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone Management Chairman Volodymyr Kholosha said.
He said that at Kiev donor conference held on April 19, 2011 some countries expressed their desire to join the financing of Chernobyl projects. EUR 550 million was raised for Chernobyl projects at April's donor conference.
