KIEV, June 20 – The Prosecutor General's Office is investigating another criminal case into the abuse of power during the conclusion of the gas contracts in 2009.

"The Main Department for the investigation of particularly important cases is probing into a criminal case on the abuse of power during the signing of the gas agreements in 2009, which has been severed into a separate criminal case," the Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement.

Electronic media reported that deputy leader of the Batkivschyna Party and a former first deputy prime minister of Yulia Tymoshenko's government, Oleksandr Turchynov, and a former deputy prime minister and current deputy head of the Batkivschyna Party, Hryhoriy Nemyria, were summoned to the investigator of the Prosecutor General's Office.
