KIEV, June 15 – The Cabinet of Ministers has passed a resolution approving the rules for issuing visas for entry into Ukraine and transit through its territory, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Oleksandr Dykusarov said.

He said at a briefing on Wednesday that the resolution had been adopted on June 1, 2011 and would come into force on September 10, 2011.

Dykusarov said that the main purpose of the adoption of the resolution was to bring Ukraine's legal framework in the visa sphere in line with current EU legislation.
