KIEV, June 7 - Grain exports from Ukraine over the 11 months of the current marketing year (MY, from July 2010) amounted to 10.5 million tons, which is almost 10 million tons less than in the same period of the previous marketing year, Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation (UAC) Director General Serhiy Stoyanov told reporters.
He noted that the 2010 harvest was six million tons less than the 2009 harvest.
According to the UAC director general, in May the country exported 1.1 million tons of grain, including about one million tons of maize, 70,000 tons of wheat, and 25,000 tons of barley.
