KIEV, June 3 – The Cabinet of Ministers posted on its Web site on Friday resolution No. 566 dated May 25 canceling export quotas on wheat and barley.
"The resolution takes effect on the day of its publishing," the document reads.
Quotas on export of rye and buckwheat (1,000 tons for each) have been retained.
In early October 2010, the Ukrainian government introduced grain quotas for the period until December 31, 2010. The quotas were extended late in 2010 until March 31, 2011. The overall size of the quotas was increased by 1.5 million tons of grain, to 4.2 million tons.
