KIEV, May 26 - CME Group (Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group), the world's leading derivatives market, plans to assist Ukraine in creating a futures market, first of all for grain trading, and signed relevant memoranda of mutual understanding with the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ukrainian Futures Exchange in Kiev on Thursday.
"Ukraine needs a futures market and is ready to create it. And we are very pleased that we can lend our expertise, our capabilities, to make this market very strong and successful," CME Group Chairman Emeritus Leo Melamed said.
According to Melamed, CME Group will audit the exchange futures market of Ukraine.
