KIEV, May 26 – DTEK, the largest private vertically integrated energy holding in Ukraine, has created DTEK Naftogaz to carry out gas extraction projects, DTEK Director Maksym Tymchenko said at a press conference devoted to the long-term strategy of the company in Kiev on Wednesday.

He said that DTEK Naftogaz was registered in May 2011.

Business Development Director Herman Ainbinder said that the new company would be involved in Vanco projects to extract hydrocarbons on the Black Sea shelf. The company also plans to focus on the extraction of alternative gas, including shale gas and methane gas.
