KIEV, May 23 - Non-governmental agricultural organizations have asked the Ukrainian president to veto a law on the introduction of grain export duties.
The Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation (UAC) reported on Monday that the address was sent to the head of state on May 20, 2011.
The authors of the address said that the introduction of grain export duties would cause losses worth over UAH 6 billion to farmers. In addition, they said that manufacturers could loose UAH 12 billion due to amendments to the Tax Code regarding VAT reimbursements for grain exports.
