KIEV, May 17 – President Viktor Yanukovych will visit Poland on May 27-28 to take part in a meeting of the heads of Central and Eastern European states, Regions Party MP Leonid Kozhara said.
"Ukraine is not forgetting about its relations with its European neighbors while developing ties with big states and unions. I should note that the presidents of Ukraine and Poland meet practically every month," the deputy said at the parliament on Tuesday, according to the Regions Party's press service.
Kozhara stressed that Ukraine is proceeding successfully towards economic integration with both the European Union and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
He also noted that a round of talks on creation of a free trade area with the EU is taking place in Brussels on May 16-17.
