BRUSSELS, May 13 – The European Commission is continuing to discuss the conditions for holding stress tests at nuclear power plants.
During a meeting between the European Commission and the European Nuclear Safety Regulators Group (ENSREG), which consists of 27 national agencies responsible for nuclear safety, the sides achieved some progress in the issue, although no final decision was made, Interfax-Ukraine learned from the European Commission on May 12.
The discussion will continue during the following meeting next week on May 19-20 in Prague.
On the results of the meeting, European Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger noted that in this case "the aim is more important than deadlines."
