KIEV, April 21 – UAH 7 billion will be invested in the development of alternative energy this year, according to Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Boyko.
"It's clear that UAH 1 billion will be spent on realizing alternative energy projects… around UAH 1 billion will be allocated from the national budget and six times more on private investments," he said at the "Policy of Ukraine: Unconventional Gas Focus" conference in Kiev on Wednesday.
The Ukrainian cabinet considered a concept of energy efficient programs on Wednesday, he added.
