KIEV, April 20 – Ukraine supports the strengthening of the international nuclear nonproliferation regime, President Viktor Yanukovych said.
"In addition to the efforts to supervise the work of nuclear power plants, Ukraine's policy in the area of nuclear security is based on a fundamental position of our state about the need to strengthen the international nuclear nonproliferation regime," Yanukovych said in the article "One World. One security" published in the French Le Figaro Newspaper on Tuesday.
"Ukraine, which has made a substantial contribution to global nuclear disarmament, sticks to its responsible policy in this area," the president said.
