KIEV, April 18 – The International Monetary Fund is expecting Ukraine to increase gas prices or carry out compensation measures to continue cooperation under the Stand-By Arrangement, said IMF European Department Director Antonio Borges.
"We would like the government to maintain its targets as agreed in the program. The program contemplated a very significant increase in gas prices, which are very, very highly subsidized and which are a very big drain on the budget," he said.
