KIEV, April 14 - Ukraine reduced its exports of electricity by 0.5% year-on-year, or 6.1 million kilowatt hours, in Q1 to 1.196 billion kilowatt hours, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry announced.
The slight drop in exports had been driven by no exports to Belarus in January of this year, as well as the breakdown of a transformer at the Burshtynsky CHP in the last part of February, which caused a temporary shutdown in exports of Ukrainian electricity to Europe.
