KIEV, April 8 – The United States Department of Agriculture has again lowered its forecast for the export of grain from Ukraine in the current marketing year (July 2010 through June 2011) by one million tons from the forecast given last month, to 11.63 million tons.
According to the USDA, the forecast for the export of wheat alone was reduced from four million to 3.5 million tons, that of fodder grain from 8.63 million to 8.13 million tons.
At the same time, the USDA's corn export forecast remained at 5.5 million tons.
Simultaneously, the USDA revised upwards the forecast for ending stocks of grain by 83,000 tons, to 6.14 million tons.
